Vision and History
Founded in 1968, RDO Equipment Co. is a family-owned and operated company with a vision that has remained consistent through the years: To be a leader in creating solutions for our customers. To be an employer of choice, dedicated to energizing the creativity, talents, and entrepreneurial spirit of our people.
Ron Offutt is founder and Chairman of RDO Equipment Co. He purchased the first Casselton, North Dakota store by taking out a bank loan, selling a potato warehouse and 160 acres of the family's farmland, and paying the last $10,000 of the purchase price with a contribution from his grandmother.
Growth
We have expanded from the single agricultural store in Casselton, North Dakota, to a corporation with headquarters in Fargo, N.D. that today has over 50 locations in 9 U.S. states and employs over 1600 people.
Our growth stems from an unwavering commitment to the people who work for our company, who in turn have a sincere focus on providing customers with superior equipment solutions that help their businesses develop.
