Burnsville – CE Team Participate in 4th Annual Day of the Dozers Event
In late September, the Burnsville team participated in the 4th annual Day of the Dozers event. Each year, this event aims to raise money for Children’s Hospitals of Minnesota while giving young children an awareness of the construction industry.
This event gives children of all ages an opportunity to get in the seat of large construction equipment and go for a ride with a professional operator. All of the machinery is donated by local contractors and dealers, as well as the time of the operators.
Scott Weness, Sales Manager, serves on the event’s planning committee. “We raised $37,000 at this year’s event – a tremendous accomplishment for those involved,” he said. “This is such a fun event for all involved - I think the operators have almost as much fun as the kids!”
This event continues to grow in size by attendance the number of units on hand. This year’s event featured more than 40 pieces of operational equipment, including a 460E Haul Truck (driven by Tom Ambroz, Sales Professional); a John Deere 7570RT (operated by Scott); and a John Deere 772GP (operated by Ryan Miller, Sales Professional). Also on static display was a John Deere 1050K, which was a huge hit with the kids.
