Grand Opening Event Held at New Store in Williston, N.D.
Posted 04/02/2010 —In early 2010, RDO Equipment announced a new store built in Williston, N.D. Williston is located in Northwest North Dakota, and was previously in Minot's Area of Responsibility (AOR). Customers near Williston (including an expansive oil mining facility) were serviced from Minot - nearly three hours away. Because of this vast territory, the decision was made to build the Williston location.
"A store in Williston makes us more competitive, and ultimately allows us to better-serve our customers there," said Jon Markle, General Manager of Minot and Williston.
The store held its Grand Opening event on March 12, 2010. Along with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Williston Chamber of Commerce, John Deere and RDO Equipment Co. provided seminars on Tier 4 emissions, oil sampling, and featured the GP Motorgrader and 764 High Speed Dozer.
Over 150 attendees were served lunch and received a tour of the new facility.
"The Williston Grand Opening was a huge success. We were able to showcase what RDO Equipment Co. can offer to customers and the community, by opening our doors for a lunch and beneficial training seminars. We heard lots of positive comments throughout the day, and we are looking forward to being part of this community," added Jon.
The Williston store features sales, parts, and service functionality, and additionally serves as a service location for Vermeer Sales & Service and RDO Truck Center. Scott Hoovestal, Sales Professional; Randy Ostrom, Field Service Technician; and Justin Pitts, Field Service Technician, and Mike Taylor, Aftermarket Manager, currently make up the Williston team.
