RDO Equipment Co. Takes Part in "Taste of Hazen" Event
Posted 04/02/2010 —"Taste of Hazen" is a fundraiser for the Hazen, N.D. Chamber of Commerce that the RDO Equipment Co. store recently participated in for the third time. In addition to being a great community event, it's a good promotional opportunity for the area businesses.
The event features local Hazen businesses preparing a food of their choice, and then displaying it for taste-testing at a booth. Entries can be a main course, dessert or beverage. RDO Equipment Co.'s choice this year was barbeque pulled pork on a bun.
Attendees of the event who taste-tested at the booths are given ballots to fill out for the categories of "Best Food" and "Best Table." RDO Equipment Co. won "Best Food" and was presented with a traveling plaque by the Hazen Chamber of Commerce at the store.
The main course dish for RDO Equipment Co. came from Service Technician Trevor Dressler's mom, Peggy, who owns the business "Roosterz" in Halliday, N.D., and she was able to cater it for the store's entry.
Greg Burgman, General Manager, thanks all the employees and Peggy for their efforts on this year's event, and added "This is a great event for our community, and one that our entire store enjoys participating."
