Minot Team Gives Back through Horn of Plenty Program

In December, RDO Equipment Co. team members in Minot, ND kept up a tradition of giving back to their community by participating in the annual Horn of Plenty program.

The program, a partnership between local radio station KHRT and healthcare provider Trinity Health, rallies community members and businesses to provide goods for area families in need. This year, RDO team members assisted with delivering donated turkeys, milk, eggs, butter, onions, potatoes, and toys to area churches to be further distributed to about 250 families.

The program and volunteering efforts looked a bit different this year because of COVID-19. Gift cards replaced the usual packaged boxes of food items, which would normally accompany the other donations. But despite the differences, the spirit of giving was as strong as ever for the Minot team.

“Our store has made this into an annual tradition,” said Office Administrator Marchell Walker. “We enjoy giving back to our community and helping families in need have a good Christmas with a meal and toys for their kids.”
