Moorhead Team Member Lends a Hand to Enhance Local Playground

Moorhead Sales Professional Alex Mitchell leveraged his RDO resources and spent a day working on a volunteer project at a Fargo YWCA branch.

After receiving a donation of woodchips to refurbish their outdoor playground, the YWCA was looking for help to move and spread them on the playground. The YMCA contacted the RDO Equipment Co. store in Moorhead, where they were connected with Alex, who was eager to help.

“Anytime you can help your community out and step up and lend a hand, I think we all should do so.,” Alex said. “I was brought up that way, and I know the values at RDO Equipment stand that way as well,”

Alex took a skid steer to the YMCA, where he was met by a group of volunteers from a local bank. Together, the team distributed the woodchips across the playground, giving a welcome makeover to the play area.

“It’s all about the kids, that was the end goal for this project, and I was excited to be a part of it,” Alex added. “I’m happy we have the ability to do projects like this.”
