Team Members Partner for Tractor Training at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base

Team Members Partner for Tractor Training at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base

15 Sep 2021

Riverside Government Account Manager Stefanie Miller and a group of other RDO Equipment Co. team members spent a day in August at Camp Pendleton, a Marine Corps base in Oceanside, CA, for a training session on two new tractors and attachments.

Stefanie was joined by Sales Manager Michael Ligtenberg, Account Managers Karissa Bremer and Cruz Martinez Jr., and Customer Service Advisor Alex Page to introduce a group of 26 Marines to their new green machines. The lead-up to the training was not without its challenges, most notably, the limited availability of inventory and parts across the industry, but Stefanie said the training itself was a success.

“We had a really good group of participants turn out who were willing and ready to learn,” she said. “And thanks to the support from my teammates, we were able to show our commitment to the customer and have a productive and effective training day.”

A customer visit at a Marine base is no average visit, with tanks rolling by and military drills happening in the background, and Stefanie said the excitement and enthusiasm displayed by the 26 Marines who participated that day made it an even more memorable experience.

“When we started the training and they got hands-on the tractor, they were like little kids,” she said of the Marines’ eagerness. “And from then on, they were completely engrossed in the experience.”

Remarketing Manager Todd Thompson highlighted the success of the training day and the work it took to make it a reality.

“Stefanie did a great job coordinating the sale and getting the tractors and attachments prepped and delivered, despite challenges along the way. And to top it off, she leveraged the team for a successful training session. It speaks to the respect both Stefanie and RDO have for the relationship with Camp Pendleton and the service the Marines provide for our country,” he said.
