How to Rent from RDO

If you haven’t rented from us before, here’s what to expect. Completing these steps upfront helps avoid delays when you need equipment.

Step 1: Complete a Rental Credit Application
Fill out the RDO Rental Credit Application and submit it for review.

Required for all first-time rental customers
Helps us set up your account correctly and quickly

Step 2: Provide Proof of Insurance
RDO requires proof of insurance for demo, loaner, rental and rental-purchase agreements. We’ll need a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) that meets the requirements below.

Insurance Requirements (At a Glance)
To keep things simple, here’s what most rental customers need to provide.

General Liability Insurance

Minimum $500,000 per occurrence
Required for all rental agreements

Property Insurance

Coverage limit must be high enough to cover the most expensive unit on rent, or
A 14% Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) will be applied

Please note: The LDW fee is not credited back if equipment is returned damaged

Certificate of Insurance (COI) Checklist
To avoid processing delays, make sure your COI includes the following:

RDO Equipment Co. listed as Certificate Holder
Named insured (or additional named insured) matches the RDO account name or is listed as a DBA

The RDO account name or DBA is determined by the information provided in your credit application and verification of your business name with the Secretary of State.
