RDO Equipment Co. – Chandler Celebrates 5 Years of Business

Time flies when you’re building customers for life! The RDO Equipment Co. store in Chandler, AZ marked five years of business with a team celebration in late October.

Since the store’s grand opening in 2016, the Chandler team has grown from 28 team members to almost 60. Along with that has come a unique and ever-developing culture with roots stretching back to the very beginning.

“Our culture started forming on day one,” recalls Parts Manager Mike Carr, an original Chandler team member who brought nine years of experience from RDO’s Phoenix store to the new location. “We had Service Technicians helping put parts away and Parts Specialists helping set the shop up. Everyone really worked together to help the customer and see the store succeed from the beginning.”

The team has worked hard to build relationships and grow the business footprint. Just two years after opening, they marked a significant milestone by adding the WIRTGEN GROUP product line to their construction equipment offerings.

“That gave us the opportunity to reach and work with a customer group we weren’t as familiar with at the time,” Mike said. “It’s been exciting and rewarding to be able to build those new relationships.”

General Manager Tory Williams also reflected on the team’s development, especially in terms of the knowledge and experience of individual team members.

“It’s been fun to see the growth in our culture and in individuals. We have been able to promote numerous team members into leadership positions, and we’ve created a true pipeline of talent that’s going to benefit the team and our customers into the future,” he said.

As far as the Chandler team has come since the store’s grand opening, Tory said there is still plenty to look forward to.

“It’s been a great five years, and I cannot wait to see our team grow our partnership with customers, manufacturing partners, and each other.”
