When Randy Poulter, owner of 903 Excavation, needed to move 6,000 yards of dirt to build a motocross course, including a 100-foot car jump in Minnesota, he turned to trusted equipment and technology experts at RDO.
As a former racer, Poulter knows moving dirt is only part of the job. Building safe jumps and tight turns requires precise grading, all while working against a tight schedule before colder weather delays racing until spring. To stay on track, he relied on the power of the John Deere 850 X Dozer, along with the agility and machine control of the 245 P Excavator and 333 P Skid Steer.
“We work around the clock to make these jumps possible,” Poulter said. “We faced every challenge imaginable, from weather delays to labor shortages. But one problem we never had was machine downtime. We pushed these machines hard, and the John Deere dozers and excavators performed every day.”
Watch the video to learn how Poulter partnered with RDO, 3D GPS machine control specialists, and Wingtra drone survey experts to keep the project on schedule.
