Riverside Construction Update – August

As the final details and finishes come together, and on the heels of a successful move-in of Vermeer from Fontana, the new RDO Equipment Co. store in Riverside is nearly complete. As the team prepares for the official grand opening, they took a look back at the old store and how much has changed in the new space.

With more than 40,000 square feet of space, the new Riverside building is among the top 10 largest of all RDO Equipment Co. stores. One of the biggest chunks of that space, 18,000 square feet, is taken up by the 18-bay service shop. Duane Bonini, General Manager, compares it to the previous store’s shop which was 5,800 square feet and had 9 work bays. “Not only is the new shop much larger, it’s able to accommodate twice as many machines,” he said. “We’re looking forward to our team having a more spacious work environment and being able to accommodate more customers’ service needs.”

Several upgraded features are included in the new shop like light tubes and overhead doors with full-view glazing panels for plenty of natural light. A system of large overhead fans ensures cooling and continuous circulation of air throughout the space, something the previous location didn’t have. Another unique feature to the new shop is the ClearBlu Environmental system, a unique water-saving system that filters and recycles the water used to wash equipment.

The new Riverside store, located at 20 Iowa Avenue, is fully open and operational. Dennis Howard, Vice President of the Southwest Construction region, says the team is already enjoying seeing customers in the store and showing them around. “We invite all customers to stop in and see the new space,” he said.
