R.D. Offutt Company team members pull together to support thriving communities and healthy families. That’s one reason why this year, RDO Caters Taters benefiting Red River Children’s Advocacy Center (RRCAC), raised funds and awareness for thepublic-private partnership that brings together professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, mental health and medical fields.
RRCAC is dedicated to helping children heal from abuse through trauma-informed care and coordinated services. The 26th annual RDO Caters Taters for charity raised $87,280 during the one-day potato luncheon.
“Funds raised at RDO Caters Taters will support RRCAC’s continued growth and development,” said Sarah Matthews, Executive Director of RRCAC. “We will be able to expand our in-house mental health services by adding two new clinicians. This will reduce outsourcing and increase appointment availability.”

R.D. Offutt Company team members present the Red River Children Advocacy Center with 100% of the funds raised this year's RDO Caters Taters.
The lunchtime baked potato fundraiser brought together hundreds of community members, sponsors and volunteers to support RRCAC’s mission. RDO Caters Taters is just one way that RDO continues its legacy of giving back to community organizations, making a difference in the region.
RRCAC serves children and families across 60 counties in North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota, including four Native American reservations. In 2025 alone, the center facilitated more than 380 forensic interviews, a 30% increase from the previous year. With 1 in 7 children facing abuse in North Dakota and 95% of victims knowing their abusers, the need for timely, compassionate care is urgent.
“We’re committed to this center’s work and are always working to build trust within the community and among our partners so children have a safe space to be heard, believed and supported,” Matthews said. “We’re here to start the journey towards healing.”
“The Red River Children’s Advocacy Center is staffed by passionate people doing vital work in our community and doing most of it behind the scenes,” said Tim Curoe, R.D. Offutt Company’s chief executive officer. “We’re honored to be able to support what they’re doing to protect, help and heal the most vulnerable members of our communities.”
Since 2000, RDO Caters Taters for Charity has raised more than $1.3 million through in-person and take-out potato sales, raffle tickets and sponsorships to donate to more than a dozen local charities, including Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley, HOPE, INC., Jeremiah Program of Fargo-Moorhead, BIO Girls, Great Plains Food Bank, PATH of North Dakota, Valley Senior Services, and more.
