Eight Former True North Equipment Store Locations, Plus Two Service and Support Locations Officially Open for Business as Part of RDO

Farmers in the upper Midwest now have better access to the expanded support offerings and resources of the RDO Equipment Co. network after the close of RDO Equipment Co.’s acquisition of True North Equipment. 

Eight former True North Equipment locations are now RDO locations. All former True North team members are now RDO team members.

"Strong relationships are at the heart of this transition," said RDO Equipment Co. Executive Vice President Daryl Shelton. “The True North team carries a legacy of customer and community support, and we’re proud to continue those relationships. Customers used to doing business with True North will work with many of the same people they always have, now with the full backing of the RDO’s resources.” 

Through RDO, former True North customers gain access to expanded expertise, whole goods and parts inventory, technology and support; all while maintaining local teams and the relationships they have built.

RDO Equipment Co. is part of a family-owned business in Fargo, North Dakota. Ron Offutt founded the company in 1964, beginning with a potato farming operation alongside his father before purchasing his first John Deere dealership in Casselton, North Dakota, in 1968.
